Camping Essentials - What You Need to Take Camping

Camping essentials

Tent - The most important item to pack for camping is definitely the tent. Without this you may as well sleep in your car, or book a hotel room.

Inflatable mattress/Sleeping Mat - You can of course sleep on the base of the tent, but ideally you will want a sleeping mat or inflatable mattress. Of course if you do choose to buy an inflatable mattress or mat, you will either have to buy one that self inflates. Or buy yourself some sort of air pump.

Sleeping bags - Keeping warm at night is a must, it gets very cold in tents at night. So you will need to buy a sleeping bag, or do what i do and take my duvet.

Air pump - Like i said before if you choose to buy anything that needs pumping up. Then you will need to buy a pump. You can either buy a manual pump, that you use to pump with your foot. Or you can buy one that connects to your cigarette lighter port ion your car.

Form of power - Depending on what electrical gadgets your take, you may or may not need a power source. But if you decide to take your mobile phone for example, it might be a good idea to by a charging bank to keep your mobile phone charged. Make sure to charge your charging bank before hand, otherwise it will be pointless camping tips

Cell Phone - Taking your phone is a very important just in case of emergencies. Obviously you may use it if you get really bored. But more importantly, if you get lost it can be used as a sat nav. If you get injured it can be used to call for help

Food - Its a good idea to prepack some essential bits of food. Not all campsites have shops to buy food and the nearest shop might be a drive away. Not just that if there is a shop on site they are generally more expensive than going to your local supermarket.

Water - Again another important thing to to take is water, it is important to be hydrated. Although most campsites provide taps for water, i would recommend buying bottles water. The tap water that's provided might not be the safest to drink. Of course you can boil the water to make it safe, but its by far easier to bring your own drinking water.

Camping Chair - If you plan on sitting outside your tent and enjoying the views. Then buying a camping chair is definitely a good idea. If you struggle with a bad back check out this best camping chairs for bad backs guide.
